Soen ni Natte Ita Osananajimi to Seki ga Zengo ni Natta - Chapter 13 English

 Chapter 13

After Golden Week, I arrived at school.  As usual, I left my bag on my seat and went to Masaki's seat.  Looks like Kana hasn't come to school yet.  Well, that's because I came quite early.

“Yo, Kota.... Let's tell me more about it.”

"Good morning.  Did you come to school so early just to hear about it?”

 "Ou."

However, we've talked about most of this via chat after I got home three days ago.

“Did Kirishima-san apologize to you when you came home after that?  Then you said you didn't forgive her."

"Yeah.  I really have nothing more to say.”

"I don't think so.  I was wondering why you didn't forgive her.”

 “Well… I also asked why…”

 "No reason?"

"Isn't it normal to say that the reason you can't forgive someone after they've apologized is because you didn't forgive them?"

“I think Kota is the type of guy who forgives a lot of things if someone sincerely apologizes.  I was just wondering if there was a reason.”

No, actually, there's a reason, if you ask me...

"So why don’t you forgive her?"

“…Because she apologized for something different.”

 "... what for?"

“Kana said she was apologize for telling me not to talk to her.”

 "Then what should it be?"

Come to think of it, I only told Masaki that Kana told me "Don't talk to me for the rest of your life".

“Oh by the way, I didn't even tell you properly what Kana told me.  I don't even want to say too much about it because it's kind of embarrassing…”

After looking over at Kana's seat to make sure she hadn't arrived, I told Masaki about the incident during the second grade of middle school.  It's not a long story though.  Kana said to me, “Don't talk to me for the rest of your life.  I'm ashamed to be your childhood friend and I don't want everyone to know about it."  Masaki looked surprised.

“Eh, she said all that.  What the hell is that?”

"No, well, it was a long time ago, and now I don't really mind it."

“Kirishima-san is that kind of girl...”

“No, no, no, it's been a long time.  And she's willing to apologize for that."

“You said she was apologize, but she doesn't remember what she said, right?  I was kind of hoping you two would get along, but after hearing that, it's impossible to get along again, right?”

"Hmmm ...?  Do you think Kana wants to be friends or something?  Or maybe she just wants to apologize for what happened in the past?”

"Maybe she wants to be friends with you again."

"What do you think?  I thought Kana would say that when she apologized…”

“No, no, if you directly say something like that after doing something so outrageous, that would be insolent.”

After I spoke up to this point, I heard a crackling sound.  I had looked in that direction every time I heard the door open, but this time it lived up to my expectations.

My eyes met Kana's as she entered.  However, I have no relationship with her, so I quickly looked away.  I returned my gaze to Masaki, who was looking at Kana with eyes that were clearly filled with disgust.

 "Hey, Masaki!"

 "What?"

I whispered to Masaki, and he whispered back.

 "What's with that stare?"

"No, no, no, I'm not looking at you, okay?"

He looked at me.  I'm scared .... I think Masaki's impression of Kana has plummeted because of my past story.  I might be a little sorry.

“You don't have to forgive her no matter what she says.  Well, it's not my right to say that."

“I won't forgive her if she continues like she is now, but if she apologizes properly,… well, I guess I'll think about that later.  So, for now, just act as usual.”

 “If Kota says so, fine.”

"More importantly than that, we have two weeks left until the midterms, are you ready?"

"We still have two weeks to go, we'll be fine."
